Brand new PHOENIX extra’s coming out soon… Stay tuned!

Warner Classics is about to publish brand new recording of chamber pieces by Ludomir Różycki and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Those recordings are complementing the PHOENIX album, on which rediscovered Violin Concerto by Ludomir Różycki is paired with Tchaikovsky’s one. Różycki wrote his piece in 1944, in occupied Warsaw and, due to war events, the piece remained forgotten for many years after. –> for details click here

The idea of publishing the violin repertoire of the forgotten Polish composer juxtaposed with Tchaikovsky, whose pieces are one of the most famous and often played of all times was raised by Janusz himself:

“War brings damage on every aspect of life. There are no winners, just loses. Searching for lost pieces, rediscovering them, reconstructing and popularizing is a great passion of mine. Being able to bring the PHOENIX Violin Concerto by Różycki back to life proves that after dark always comes light. We must remember this, especially in difficult times”.

The new releases show the chamber repertoire of both composers:

  • L. Różycki – Nocturne in F sharp minor Op. 30 No. 2
  • P.I. Tchaikovsky – Melodie Op. 42 No. 3

Janusz Wawrowski – violin
Mischa Kozłowski – piano
