Niccolo Paganini is described as a revolutionist and a persona ahead of his times. His Caprices are the collection of extremly hard and innovative violin pieces which in Paganini's time were seemed as unfeasible. Janusz Wawrowski and Marcin Zdunik perform Genoese genius' Caprices in the new, extraordinary and spectacular arrangement.
Had Paganini lived at present, he would have been overtaken by the originality of the Ultimate Paganini project and master level of performers. Two eminent artists of young generation - Janusz Wawrowski (violin) and Marcin Zdunik (cello) are acknowledged both in their homeland and abroad. Also, both use contemporary instruments made by Wojciech Topa.
One must admit that the project is indeed unique on the world's scale as the artists perform all the Caprices: Janusz Wawrowski - the original part of violin and Marcin Zdunik - the impressive
part of cello composed by himself. Thus, The Caprices combine styles from various styles and centuries
and along with barocco one may enjoy touches of jazz. The artists have decided to cooperate with two brothers, Marcin and Tomek Ebert, who are an audio-visual performers from Analog Visuals and created brand new visual projections to the project. Their multimedial displays have become an integral part of the project as well as light effects and live projection of performing artists. Extraordinary music performances along with visualisations have transferred the Caprices far beyond traditional understanding of a classical music concert. Ultimate Paganini project offers a genuine multimedial music treat.
The Ultimate Paganini project has been successfully realized in Poland, Germany as well as in Austria and has always pleased even the most demanding audiences. The project has been acknowledged by both professionals and music lovers as original, unequalled and worthy of being appreciated by audiences throughout the world.

"I once heard Marcin playing his own arrangement of Wieniawki's Caprice with a violinist. I was so impressed that I decided to invite him to try a similar experiment with Paganini's Caprices. At first we worked spontaneously and, since the results were very interesting indeed, we assumen that two voices of the arrangement were to be equivalent in both musical sense and the virtuoso sense. Marcin's arrangements proved to be harmoniously rich, striking and charming miniatures for the violin and cello. They have great impact and excellent performance value".
Janusz Wawrowski
"The idea of arranging Paganini's Caprices for violin and cello originated in 2006. At first I treated it as a kind of crazy experiment. It consisted in composing a new, virtuosic cello part of the status equal to the violin part for the world-famous violin miniatures by Paganini. My main aim was to enrich the musical texture of the Caprices, showing the musical material so similar to music lovers in an etirely new, sometimes very suprising context. And so we have ended up with a cycle of duets that have the features of both chamber music and solo display".
Marcin Zdunik

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
A concert consists of two parts. 12 of the Caprices constitute the first part. Their original order has been changed (in both parts) to create a more dramatic entity accompanied with live projection display.
After a 20-minute interval, the audience is to enjoy the second part, The 12 remaining Caprices are performed with authorial improvisations, each three in a row divided with mini breaks. In the second part of the concert visualisations and light displays mingle with astonishing music performance.
Duration of the concert is ca. 60-70 minutes of music.
