Janusz Wawrowski is the only Polish violinist who performs the complete Capricci op. 1 by Niccolo Paganini at his concerts. In 2007 his debut record with 24 Caprices by N. Paganini was released (CD Accord), which has got many enthusiastic reviews. The Strings Magazine: "Wawrowski has true musician's concern for the structural and dramatic truth behind Paganini's torrents of notes and plays (...) with a bulletproof technique that yelds countless insight and beauties"; The Strad: "Any violinist who can commit the challenging bravura of Paganini's caprices to CD with substantial accuracy, clarity and technical aplomb is worthy of praise. But Polish violinist Janusz Wawrowski goes one step further, performing these benchmarks for the aspiring virtuoso with the utmost artistry and musical conviction". Wolfgang Marschner has observed that his performances may be compared with the playing of "only a few distinguished European violinists". And the great Ida Haendel has said this about him: "He is a wonderful violinist, a great talent deserving a worldwide career and an opportunity to perform in the world's greatest concert halls".

Janusz Wawrowski records for the Polish Radio and Television. He cooperates with Oscar-winner Jan A. P. Kaczmarek as his solo violinist in film soundtracks "Evening" (directed by Lajos Koltai) and "Get low" (directed by Aaron Schneider). In 2009 he recorded Violin Concerto "Óneiros" (notably, it was the premiere recording) by Dariusz Przybylski, a young contemporary Polish composer.

Along with an appreciated Polish cellist Marcin Zdunik, Janusz Wawrowski has created a unique on the World's scale project Ultimate Paganini. Namely, they perform all Caprices by Paganini. Wawrowski performs the original violin part whereas Zdunik presents the equally impressive cello part written by himself. Extraordinary music performances along with computer visualisations and light effects have transferred the Caprices far beyond traditional understanding of a classical music concert. Ultimate Paganini Project offers a genuine multimedial music treat.

Janusz Wawrowski permanently cooperates with Robert Morawski, one of the most emitent Polish pianist of the younger generation.

At present, he is a lecturer at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and artistic director of the "Spaces of Music" Chamber Music Festival. In 2009 and 2010 he was the artistic director of the International Chamber Music Festival "Music on the Heights" in Zakopane.
